I'm trying to find a better way to display upcoming events in the lobby of one of our business locations. Previously, we used a USB stick with a TV that auto-played PowerPoint files, but due to our internal policy against USB drives, we need a new method. We're considering using a Raspberry Pi, but I'd prefer not to manage another operating system if possible. Are there TVs that support cloud-based systems that would allow users to upload updates through a web app that automatically plays on the screen? I would love to hear about any real-world solutions you've implemented!

Check out digital signage systems! They can be cloud-based, allowing you to easily manage and update displays remotely. I work at an airport, and while our system is tailored for that environment, there are many more general options out there. It’s worth diving into!
You could try using YoDeck with a Raspberry Pi as the NUC (Next Unit of Computing) to run your display setup.
Commercial TVs often come with features that make displaying content easier. While I can't offer specific product recommendations since I haven't looked into this tech for a while, newer models should have some useful capabilities for your needs.
If you're looking at Samsung TVs, reach out to your local VAR. I believe they have a cloud-based app specifically designed for situations like this, which could be a perfect fit for your project.

Thanks for the tip! Searching for 'Digital signage' gives me tons of options. This could be exactly what I need!
