Hey everyone! I recently picked up a refurbished MacBook Air 2018 and it's been running smoothly overall. However, I've started experiencing some random shutdowns. I mainly use it for Lightroom, Photoshop, and PowerPoint, so I'm trying not to push it too hard. The shutdowns happen even when my battery is above 30%, and when I restart it, I often find it has lost a significant amount of battery. I also ran a diagnostic and it indicated a Kernel Panic, but I'm not sure what to do with that info. I'm looking for any advice on how to fix this issue or if I should just cut my losses and consider replacing it. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a tricky situation! Kernel Panic can be a sign of underlying issues, especially with refurbished devices. I'd suggest starting with a complete reinstall of the OS to see if that resolves the problem. Sometimes, refurbished parts can cause Kernel Panic, so checking with your seller about any known issues might be a good idea. Also, searching for "MacOS Kernel Panic fix" online could yield some helpful troubleshooting tips!
Your battery might be the culprit here. Check your battery's health in the system settings to see its status. It's possible the battery is old and can't supply enough power, leading to those shutdowns. If after replacing the battery you still face issues, then there could be other problems at play.
I found 'Battery Health: Normal' in the settings, but the listing mentioned a battery replacement. Could that mean it's a dodgy battery?
