I've recently upgraded my GPU to a 5080 and now I'm experiencing coil whine, which seems to be coming from my PSU. I currently have a be quiet Pure Power 12, 1000W, 80 Gold unit. At first, I thought the noise was from the GPU, but after listening more closely, it's definitely the PSU making the noise. I didn't have this issue with my old GPU. I've heard from others that switching out the PSU might help. Can anyone recommend a PSU that would work well with my 5080, ideally around 1000W?

Coil whine can really depend on a combination of factors like the PSU, your wall power, and even how heavy of a load your components are under. It's definitely possible to have the same model PSU work fine for one person but not for another. If you like your current PSU, consider trying to return it for a replacement first.
For alternatives, I’ve had good luck with the Asrock Phantom Gaming PSUs; the 1000W versions are all rated A tier. They also have built-in thermistors to monitor temperature and prevent overheating. If you're not planning on using the danger-cable setup, the NZXT C850 and above models are reliable too. Montech Century is another option and is A tier, but keep in mind it's only available in silver. They’re all reasonably priced and generally well-reviewed.
There might be even better budget options out there, but these are my top picks."

Just to clarify, since you've pinpointed the sound to the PSU, it really is likely the source of the coil whine. I've experienced similar issues before and they were definitely from the PSU, especially if your previous setup didn’t have this problem.
