Recommendations for a Reliable PSU After a Bad Experience

I recently built my first PC and bought a used grey label CX750M power supply, but it died just three days after purchase. I tried troubleshooting, and it seems like it was a PSU failure. I've contacted the seller with proof, but I'm not sure if they'll actually refund or replace it. I've checked my build and it shouldn't draw more than 600W. Now I need a new PSU and I've come across the XPG CORE REACTOR II VE 750W 80PLUS GOLD. Is this a solid choice, or do you have any other recommendations for a good PSU that I might find in my area?

The XPG CORE REACTOR II VE is actually rated A+, which is solid. If you’re looking for a good PSU, you can check out this tier list I found. It's super helpful to know the rankings of power supplies based on quality and reliability!

It's a bummer when a used PSU fails like that! For a first build, you definitely want something reliable. Avoid cheaping out on a PSU; it's crucial for your system. I recommend looking into a brand new PSU from a reputable brand for peace of mind. You'll thank yourself later!

I hear you! In hindsight, I should've invested a bit more upfront. Lesson learned for sure!
