Hey everyone! I'm a bit new to building PCs and I'm looking for some advice on how to properly cool my new 9950X3D. I currently have a Thermalright Aqua Elite 360 V3 AIO that I used with my 7800X3D, but I'm unsure if it will be sufficient for the 9950X3D. Does anyone know if this cooler can handle the heat? I'm also considering the Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360, but I'm worried about compatibility with my motherboard (Gigabyte B850M Force Wifi 6E, rev 1.1) and my case (Jonsbo D300). My RAM is Patriot SL Sig DDR5 6400MHz CL34 if that's relevant. I'm open to any other suggestions you have as well. Thanks for your help!

Check out the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120. It’s a solid cooler that I’ve used before; the SE version worked great for me in my previous builds. It should handle the 9950X3D just fine too!

Appreciate the suggestion! I’ve had experience with the SE version, and it was definitely competent. Do you think the standard version would perform well enough for the 9950X3D?

If you're looking for a solid air cooler, I'd recommend the Phantom Spirit non-SE version. It cools my 9950X well and allows me to hit all core performance without issues, though it can get a bit loud when pushed. As for the Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360, make sure to double-check compatibility with your setup; I learned that the hard way with my build! But your Aqua Elite should also be fine for the 9950X3D.

Thanks for the tips! I was really leaning towards the Arctic cooler, but if the Phantom Spirit works well for you, I might go that route instead... or just stick with the Aqua Elite as you said. What mistake did you face with the Arctic cooler?
