I recently purchased a Lenovo Thinkpad X13 Gen 4, but I'm experiencing major performance issues. Even simple tasks like typing in Word cause significant lag, with the text appearing several seconds after I type. I've run Lenovo's built-in hardware diagnostics, re-imaged the laptop, and updated the BIOS, but nothing seems to improve performance. I'm looking for effective hardware diagnostic tools that could help identify any potential issues more accurately. The laptop is still under warranty, but Lenovo's response has been that everything checks out fine on their end, so I'm feeling a bit stuck. Any suggestions?

Have you checked out the Event Logger? It might give you some insights into what's affecting your system's performance.
What's HWinfo reporting for temperatures? Also, check if the base and boost clock speeds are functioning correctly. It would help to know your system specs too!
Have you asked Lenovo what specific tests they want you to run? Sometimes they have specific diagnostics in mind, even if their standard checks come back clear.
If you're using a company image, I'd suggest trying a clean Microsoft image. That way, if you're still experiencing lag, Lenovo can't blame your configurations for the issue. Also, make sure to monitor CPU, RAM, and disk usage. What are the temperatures like?
Lenovo can be pretty strict with warranties, but I've found that recording a video of the lag and sending it to them sometimes prompts them to open a ticket, even if their diagnostics say everything's fine. I had a similar issue with my X1 Carbon that worked out!
