Hey everyone! I'm on the lookout for a solid AM5 motherboard that costs under $200, specifically either a B850 or X870 model, that won't give me any issues when using it with my Ryzen 7 9800X3D. I've heard about problems with compatibility and want to get some advice before making my purchase. Any suggestions?

Most issues with these boards were fixed through firmware updates. All major brands faced some problems, especially ASRock, but they’ve rolled out patches. Just pick a board with the features you want, and you should be fine.
I just set up an MSI B850 Tomahawk with my 9800X3D two days ago, and so far, it's performing well! I've read that MSI boards typically have fewer issues with this CPU. Just a heads up, I did pay a little over $200, but I think it's a solid choice!
Check out the Gigabyte B850 Eagle WiFi6E; it’s available on PCPartPicker and has great reviews for stability with the 9800X3D. Plus, it supports all the features you’d expect for a modern build!
So things are actually good now? I'm just worried about investing in a board that might not work well with my CPU.
