Recovery USB Not Booting After MSI Logo – What Should I Do?

Hey everyone! I'm having some trouble with my PC after encountering a fatal error. It gets stuck on the MSI logo screen and won't let me enter recovery mode. I've created a Windows 11 recovery USB, but when I try to boot from it, nothing happens. The USB works fine on other computers. I've checked my BIOS settings: secure boot is disabled, UEFI is selected, and fast boot is off. Any suggestions on what I should try next?

Make sure to back up your data before messing with BIOS settings! A good rule of thumb is always to check your backups first whenever you're changing things around. If you need more info, there’s a FAQ thread that could be useful.

Here’s a tip: try plugging the USB into a **USB 2.0 port** instead of a 3.0/3.1 one, especially since you're using an MSI motherboard. Also, when you start your PC, hit F11 repeatedly to access the boot menu directly rather than relying on the automatic boot process. If you're still stuck at the MSI logo, it might help to clear the CMOS. You can do this by unplugging the PC and holding down the power button for about 30 seconds, or by using the CMOS reset jumper or removing the battery. After that, plug in only the USB and disconnect any internal drives to see if it boots from the recovery media.

I tried this and it took a few tries, but it finally booted!
