Samsung 990 Pro Clone Won’t Boot – Help Needed!

I cloned my operating system using Macrium Reflect from a Western Digital M.2 SSD to a new Samsung 990 Pro 2TB. I followed a tutorial exactly, and the cloning process was reported as successful. After installing the Samsung drive in the top M.2 slot, my PC just hits a BSOD upon booting. I can't access any recovery options or troubleshoot options—just the blue screen. However, I can access the BIOS, where the Samsung drive is recognized and set as the boot device. When I put the WD drive back in, everything boots fine, and both drives show up correctly in Disk Management with the appropriate partitions. My goal is to get the Samsung drive booting on its own since I'm planning to use the WD drive in another build. I'd rather not perform a fresh OS install since everything is already configured perfectly. Has anyone experienced this issue before or have any insights on what might be wrong? I'm really hoping for some help here; this is driving me crazy!

One idea is that you might need to repair the boot sector or modify some boot settings. Try booting from a Windows installation USB or repair disk and see if you can access repair options. Sometimes cloning can mess up the boot files, so this could help get your Samsung drive working as the primary OS again.

Have you checked your BIOS settings for any options related to UEFI or secure boot? Sometimes these settings can prevent cloned drives from booting properly. Adjusting those may allow your Samsung to boot up.
