I'm in the process of building a new PC and have already chosen a couple of key components: the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor and the Asus ROG Astral OC GeForce RTX 5090 32 GB Video Card. I'm looking for recommendations on what other components would pair well with these, including a good monitor. Ideally, I'm aiming for something that feels just below the very top tier, but still performs great. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I just completed a build similar to yours! I used the MSI ROG Tomahawk WiFi motherboard along with a Lian Li Edge power supply. I went for a Thermalright FW360 AIO cooler, but you could also go for an air cooler like the Peerless Assassin. I have Acer Predator 6000 30CL RAM (2x32GB), and my case is the Thermaltake View 380. It turned out amazing!
Those are solid choices! It’s exciting to watch parts come together. As you’re learning about builds, remember that compatibility is key, especially with the motherboard and GPU. Any monitor will technically work, but to really enjoy your high-end GPU, invest in a quality monitor that matches its performance. You won’t want to miss out on a good experience with a subpar display!
For sure, getting a good monitor is essential. A great build deserves a great display to match!
With your high-budget components, you should consider a B850 or B870 motherboard, and go for 64 GB of 6000 MHz (or higher) RAM with CL30 or lower. A quality A-tier 1200W power supply is essential—definitely check out the PSU tier list for options. For cooling, the Arctic Liquid Freezer Pro III is fantastic. As for a monitor, I'd recommend a 240Hz+ 1440p or a 144Hz 4K QD OLED for an impressive visual experience. The ROG Strix or LG UltraGear models are great choices for 1440p.

Definitely! While any monitor can technically connect, your experience will be drastically different with a higher-quality screen. Just ensure your monitor’s refresh rate and resolution can keep up with your hardware's capabilities.
