Seeking Advice on Dual Booting Linux with Windows for Gaming and School

I'm considering switching to Linux after getting frustrated with constant updates and bloatware on Windows. I primarily use my PC for gaming and schoolwork, which requires Microsoft applications like Word and Teams, so I want to set up a dual-boot system. I've read that Pop!_OS Nvidia Edition is a good choice for my NVIDIA GPU and Intel CPU. I have two 1TB SSDs but want to ensure I don't lose any data. Does anyone have guides on safely dual-booting Linux and any tips or recommendations to help me prepare? I'm looking for thorough advice and knowledge before making this switch.

Pop!_OS should work fine for you! I think the Cosmic version is still in Alpha, though, so it's got some quirks. You might also want to consider alternatives like Bazzite or CachyOS, which have solid support for NVIDIA. Just be aware that some Microsoft apps may need alternatives like LibreOffice, and I've heard Zoom has mixed results on Linux. It really depends on how comfortable you are switching things up and finding what works best for you!

I'll definitely look into those alternatives! I had no idea about the Cosmic version, so I'll keep that in mind as I research more.
