Hey everyone! I'm running a small business and need a simple, cost-effective solution for remote access—primarily for unattended connections. Sometimes, my teammate and I need to access our office computers at the same time. Here's our current setup: I (the admin) need to connect to 5 devices (a mix of Mac and PC) for both office and home, and my teammate needs access to 3 devices (two work desktops and a travel Mac). We've been using TeamViewer, but it's a bit too complex and expensive for our basic needs. Any recommendations for budget-friendly alternatives that would work well for us? Thanks!

Have you checked out Splashtop? It could be a more affordable option for you. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to manage the integrations given the mix of PC and Mac.
Yeah, Splashtop should fit your needs; it’s decent enough for basic tasks, although it’s not top of the line performance-wise. You could also consider a zero-trust VPN combined with remote desktop access for better security and control.
Apache Guacamole is another solid choice! It supports RDP, VNC, and SSH, but you will need to set it up on a server that’s accessible. You might want to look into OpsBay, they offer a free instance to test it out.
Sounds interesting! How difficult is it to set up for someone not super tech-savvy?
