Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice as I navigate my path in DevOps. I've been a self-taught Linux user since 2008 and have a real passion for it. Recently, I've started diving into DevOps by creating real-world scenarios with AI tools and have documented my progress on GitHub across three repositories focused on two main projects. I understand that feeling stuck is normal in this field, but I struggle with asking for help, and I'm unsure where to seek guidance.
I'd love for someone to take a look at my projects and repositories to provide feedback. Are they up to par, or should I consider switching careers? Currently, I've completed my first two repositories (focused on Linux and Automation), but my third project on High Availability is still a work in progress and I'm at Milestone 0. I'm having a tough time figuring out how to connect private instances from public instances in AWS, despite trying methods like SSH and AWS SSM plugins.
In summary, I'm looking for advice on whether I should continue on this DevOps path or explore other career options. Thanks for your help!

If you're looking for longevity in your career, consider focusing on cloud technologies or security aspects within DevOps. These areas are in high demand and will give you a solid foundation to build on for your future.
It’s great to see your enthusiasm for Linux and DevOps! Just a heads up, DevOps roles often require some prior IT experience, as you’ll encounter various daily challenges that can be easier to manage with a foundation from lower-level positions. I recommend adding some CI/CD practices and containerization to your skill set. That could really enhance your project work and future job prospects!
