Seeking Upgrade Advice for a Gaming PC

Hey everyone! I'm in New Zealand and looking to upgrade my gaming setup for titles like Valorant, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, and World of Warcraft. Here's what I currently have:

- AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Processor
- MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon Motherboard
- 24GB of Team Group DELTA RGB DDR4 Memory (8GB x 2 and 4GB x 2)
- 120GB Team Group m.2 Lite SSD
- 1TB Western Digital Blue Hard Drive
- FSP Hydro 500W 80+ Bronze PSU
- ASUS VP249QGR 144HZ Monitor

Right now, I'm not using a GPU. I'm hoping to spend around 900-1000 NZD on a new processor and GPU. I also plan to upgrade my m.2 SSD and add a second monitor, likely one that supports 1440p at 144Hz. I'm checking out local shops like ExtremePC and PBtech. What other upgrades do you think would improve my build? Thanks a lot!

First things first, make sure to update your BIOS to support newer CPUs. If you're aiming for 1440p gaming, prioritize getting a solid GPU. I'd recommend something like the RX 6600 XT for around 800 NZD and then spend the rest on a Ryzen 5 5600. Also, your current 120GB SSD is fine for Windows, but consider using a larger SATA SSD for game storage instead of upgrading to a new m.2 drive since prices are rising.

Good advice! Just a heads up though, the Ryzen 5600 is hard to find in NZ right now, so keep an eye out for alternatives!
