Should I Be Concerned About Buying a Windows Key from a Third-Party Site?

I just built my first PC with my dad, and I'm wondering about the Windows key situation. A friend of my dad, who's experienced in building PCs, mentioned that it's okay to buy a Windows key from third-party sites. However, I'm a bit nervous about it. If the key expires, could that cause my PC to get bricked? Everything seems to be working fine right now, but should I be worried about any potential issues down the line?

I've been buying my Windows keys from third-party vendors, and I've never had a problem! I've built around 10 PCs for friends and family, and no complaints yet. Just make sure your key works when you activate it!

Your PC won't get bricked, but just in case your key gets deactivated, I'd suggest looking into buying a legit one eventually. You won't lose access, but you'll need a valid key if it does expire.

Chill, it won't brick your PC. If the key expires, the worst thing that might happen is a watermark popping up on your screen asking you to activate Windows. Not a big deal!

Yeah! I've seen the watermark before, it's just a minor annoyance. You're good!

I usually buy grey market keys and have sold thousands of PCs without any complaints from customers. So, personally, I wouldn't stress about it too much!
