I live in South Africa, just a short walk from the beach, and I've had my PC for about a year. With humidity levels reaching up to 93% in my area, I'm worried about potential rust or corrosion. I've heard previous suggestions about getting a dehumidifier, but it's not feasible for me due to budget constraints and my open-concept second-floor room. I also have an air conditioning unit, but running it frequently can get expensive. Given the high humidity and the still air upstairs, I'm curious if my PC might be at risk and what I can do to protect it.

I wouldn't worry excessively, but keep an eye on your PC components for signs of rust or corrosion. Ideally, using a dehumidifier would be the best solution, but those can be costly both upfront and in running costs.
You might want to try placing some silica gel packs inside your PC case. They could help soak up some excess moisture.
Keep the PC cool overall; higher temperatures can accelerate rusting.
Using the AC unit in dry mode could help reduce humidity without running up your bill too much. Just make sure it’s set to keep things a bit cooler and drier.
I don't think my AC has that dry mode.
Don't stress too much; as long as there's some air movement, it should be fine. Humidity can peak, but it often doesn't stay super high all day or month long.
What's RH?

Does that mean I need one just for reducing humidity around my PC? What if I notice corrosion?
