I recently switched to Linux and I'm considering downloading some games from a site called Steamunlocked, which has a reputation for malware. I'm curious whether malware can affect Linux systems like it does on Windows. Also, are there any tools I can use to scan game files for malware before I download them?

While Linux isn't as targeted by malware as Windows, it's still a possibility. If you're running games without any isolation technology, like Bottles, the malware can access and alter files in your home directory. So, using some form of isolation is a good idea.

What isolation method should I use for running Windows games? I just switched to Fedora yesterday!
