Should I Build a New PC Now or Upgrade Only the GPU?

Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a pickle and would love your advice. I've been using a really old PC for a while, and it's becoming clear that I need an upgrade. With GeFORCE NOW limiting my usage to 100 hours a month starting next year, I can't rely on that service any longer. My current setup isn't cutting it when it comes to gaming.

I see two options:
1. Build an entirely new PC, which would be quite expensive (around 1.8 to 2k Euros). I have an idea of the parts I'd want (I can share the list!).
2. Just upgrade to a 5070Ti GPU for now, which would cost me about 750-800 Euros. This makes sense financially, but I wonder if my CPU might hold me back.

I've also heard that prices, especially for RAM, are really unpredictable right now. What can I expect as I look toward next year? Are RAM prices going to surge while other parts stabilize, or could they even drop?

I'm hoping to get some insights or recommendations based on these thoughts. I'm really eager to keep gaming without interruption! Cheers!

Honestly, if you're mostly using GeFORCE NOW, your current hardware might be just fine for now. But since you'll lose that service soon, I'd say go ahead and upgrade to a new PC. Prices for many components are pretty stable right now, and investing in a whole new build could future-proof you for quite some time! Plus, you'd get better performance overall without the bottlenecks of your old setup.

It's interesting you mentioned RAM pricing. Many say it's going to be unpredictable, but right now you might be lucky. The latest DDR5 kits are pricey, but if you can snag some good deals, it might be worth investing. As for the 5070Ti vs the 9070XT—both are great, but the 9070XT might give you slightly better bang for your buck without compromising too much on quality.

I think sticking with your old case and some other components like the power supply and SSD is a smart move! You could save a fair amount by reusing them. Just keep an eye on DDR5 prices—it’s wild right now. I recommend looking into an AMD B650 motherboard and an R7 7700 for a solid build without breaking the bank! Oh, and for GPUs, seriously consider the Radeon RX 9070XT. It's similar in performance to the 5070Ti and usually cheaper.
