Should I Build a New PC or Buy Prebuilt with My 3070?

I'm looking to upgrade my 10-year-old PC that's bottlenecking my RTX 3070. Since prices are fluctuating a lot, I'm debating whether to build a new system around my current GPU or go for a prebuilt one with a newer GPU to ensure longevity. I'm okay with spending over $1000 if it means I won't need to upgrade for a while. I want to game at 1440p at a minimum. My current specs are: Intel Core i7-3770k CPU @ 3.50GHz, 3070 GPU, ASUS-P8Z77-V LK motherboard, 32GB DDR3 RAM, and a 1000W power supply from EVGA. I received the 3070 as a gift recently, so I've been waiting for an opportunity to upgrade.

The RTX 3070 still holds up quite well for 1440p gaming if you dial down some settings. If you can handle it, consider building around your current GPU; you could end up with a more powerful and tailored system for the same budget as a basic prebuilt. Just make sure to think about what you’re using the PC for and your local market for parts!

If the 3070 is still decent, I'd say go ahead and build. Plus, if you need more specific help, creating a new post focused on your needs could be beneficial!
