I'm thinking about getting a magnetic portable charger for a mutual friend who has previously asked for a portable charger. They didn't specify whether they wanted a wired or magnetic one, but I believe magnetic chargers are more convenient. I have a few questions before making the purchase:
1. Are magnetic chargers safe? I'm concerned about potential overheating of the battery.
2. Do these chargers work with all phone types? I'm not sure which phone model my friend has, and I can't ask since it's a surprise.
3. Is a magnetic charger really the better option?
4. Can anyone recommend a good quality brand? I'm hoping to find something around £20.

1. They’re generally safe, but just make sure to get one from a reputable brand.
2. Not all phones support magnetic charging. For instance, some models like the iPhone 16se support wireless charging but not magnetically without a case.
3. They’re a solid choice, though whether they’re the best option might depend on your friend's needs.
4. I’ve had great experiences with this charger: https://amzn.eu/d/8TDgBok. Just note that your friend will need their own wall plug and USB-C cable for it.
Just to clarify, when you say portable charger, are you looking for a power bank or one that includes a travel adapter?
Power bank!
I’ve got a couple of Anker magnetic power banks, and they work great! I own one with 5k and another with 10k capacity. Definitely recommend them!

Amazing, thank you very much for this information!
