Should I Buy a Second Hand RX 6750 XT or RTX 4060?

I'm considering purchasing a second hand desktop and I'm torn between two options – an RX 6750 XT and an RTX 4060, both priced at €500 in France. My main concern is that the RX 6750 XT has a UserBenchmark score placing it in the 5th percentile, which makes me worry about its long-term viability. Is that a red flag? Here are the specs:

**PC 1 – RX 6750 XT**:
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT (12 GB)
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (6 cores, 3.7 GHz)
- RAM: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3600 C18 (currently clocked at 2133 MHz)
- PSU: 700W
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2
- UserBenchmark results: DX10 shows MRender 253, Gravity 152, Splatting 203 FPS.

**PC 2 – RTX 4060**:
- GPU: Nvidia RTX 4060
- CPU: Intel i5-12400F
- RAM: 16 GB DDR4 (PNY, 2×8 GB, also at 2133 MHz)
- Cooling: MRED watercooling + 9 fans
- Motherboard: MSI PRO H610-E DDR4
- UserBenchmark results: DX9 shows Lighting 164 FPS, Refraction 112 FPS, Parallax 150 FPS.

Which PC is a safer investment for gaming?

I would advise being cautious with UserBenchmark for comparisons. It's known to have biases against AMD cards, so take those scores with a grain of salt. However, the RX 6750 XT could perform well if everything is set up right.

Thanks for the heads up! My main worry is the 5th percentile ranking on the RX 6750. Do you think it’s a real issue?

The combination of the 5600X and 6750XT is typically seen as a good match. But there’s a mix-up with motherboards mentioned! The RX PC has a Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2. Just make sure to address the RAM speed issue because it can really hurt performance, especially with Ryzen setups.

Thanks for clarifying! I’ll double-check the motherboard specs before deciding.

Honestly, the first PC looks stronger overall. But the RAM is currently running at stock speeds, which could be holding performance back significantly. It would be better if you could get that RAM up to 3600 MHz instead of the 2133 MHz it's at now!
