Should I buy my CPU and GPU now or wait for better deals later?

I'm planning to buy a Ryzen 5 7600 and an RTX 3060 for my new PC build. They're both currently on sale (the CPU is down from $229 to $185, and the GPU from $310 to $280). I'm wondering if it's better to purchase them now while they're discounted, or if I should hold off until Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or Christmas in hopes of getting an even better price. Also, I've heard some rumors that RAM prices might not drop anytime soon—could it really take a year for them to go down?

Honestly, the RTX 3060 at $280 isn’t really a steal. You might want to check out the RX 9060 XT 16GB, which is around $350 and can outperform it. If you’re looking for value, new gen cards would be the way to go!

Right? Cards from last gen like the 3060 don’t hold up anymore with the new options available. It’s better to invest a bit more into something that’ll last.

Buy when you feel comfortable financially. If you decide to purchase now, just make sure that you can still return things after Black Friday if you find better deals. Flexibility is key!

I say go for the Ryzen CPU; it outperforms older models like the Ryzen 7 8700F. The 3060 isn't bad for older games but definitely consider saving up for something like the 5070 or its Ti version which should drop around Black Friday. RAM will always be expensive, so keep an eye on it, but don’t wait too long! Just get what you need now!

If you have access to a Micro Center, I’d definitely advise checking out bundles. The difference between Zen4 and Zen5 isn’t huge. The RTX 3060 is somewhat outdated now, so look for the RTX 4060 instead for better performance and efficiency. If you want the best bang for your buck, consider the RX 9060 XT or the RTX 5050/5060, which offer superior performance without the power drain of older models. There’s no sense in sticking with last-gen unless it’s a significant discount!

Those aren’t real sales! You might find the Ryzen 9600X cheaper elsewhere and the RTX 5060 for just $290 new. As for RAM, yes, prices have risen, and it looks like they’ll stay high for a while. Just buy what you need now and consider upgrading later.

Got it! So it might be better to just go for it? Thanks for clarifying!
