I'm about to purchase a gaming setup from iBUYPOWER, but I'm wondering if I should hold off for 3-4 months. I'm looking to see if prices might drop or if new tech will come out that could make my choice feel regrettable. I'm not in a rush, but I want to be smart about this. The build will mainly be for gaming (like Battlefield 6) and some work tasks (like Excel and Word). The only part I'm missing is a 4K OLED 27-inch MSI monitor. Here's the build I'm considering: Intel® Core i9-14900KF Processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080, 64GB DDR5 memory, MSI PRO Z790-P motherboard, and a 2TB Samsung SSD, all totaling around $4,122 before the monitor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t think prices are going to drop anytime soon, so I wouldn’t hold off for that. Also, AMD's latest CPUs are generally better for gaming than Intel's, so you might want to consider that while choosing your components.
If it were me, I’d buy now. Waiting could lead to missing out on what you want.
Is that in USD? Because that price seems really high to me. I just bought a setup from iBUYPOWER for $1500 with a 5070 and a 9800X3D. It's got 32GB RAM and a 2TB SSD. You might want to check around for similar setups, as there are pre-builts that could save you a lot of money.
