Is WordPress with Elementor Enough for a Job Hunting Website?

I'm totally new to web development, but I'm eager to kick off a project with a friend. We're looking to create a job hunting website and I'm curious if WordPress—especially with plugins like Elementor—can handle our needs. We want to set up separate login areas for job seekers and companies. Instead of having users upload their CVs, we'd prefer to have them fill out a form since CV formats can vary widely. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Absolutely! WordPress paired with Elementor is a solid choice for a job site, especially for newcomers. Here are some tips:

- You can get started quickly.
- There are great plugins like WP Job Manager for job listings.
- Form builders work well for your needs.

But if you ever want to get more advanced, consider learning Laravel with Livewire or Next.js for better performance down the line. For your separate login tabs, WordPress can manage user roles and custom forms, which is a big plus! Just curious, what’s your timeline for this project?

For sure! I did a similar project for medical jobs using WordPress. I used the Flatsome theme and ProfilePress for user management. You won’t need to code much unless you're aiming for heavy customization. Check it out here: care-base.ch if you're curious!

You can definitely build this using WordPress—there's a ton of plugins that can help with the functionality you're looking for. However, just keep in mind that the real challenge isn’t building the site; it’s competing against countless other job boards out there. Good luck!

Starting with WordPress is a perfect move! For a first version, it’s totally enough and I wouldn't recommend building something from scratch if you're a beginner.

True, there are already so many job boards, which makes it tough to stand out. But I think your idea of focusing on specific job categories can help! It’ll be exciting to see how it turns out; keep us posted!
