I'm ready to build my PC but I'm having a hard time with the RAM prices. Right now, 32GB of DDR5 is going for over $200, which is way higher than what I expected—it shot up from around $120 to almost $275! Should I just go ahead and buy now, or would it be wiser to wait for a deal? What do you all think?

If you're really worried about the cost, just pick up a more affordable RAM kit. The performance difference won't be massive for most users.
You might get lucky finding deals in secondhand markets. eBay and Facebook Marketplace can sometimes have solid prices. I found 32GB kits for 150-200 CAD, which is way better than retail! But just be careful about scams; I get that it's a bit nerve-wracking.
I was thinking of checking those sites, but I'm worried about getting scammed!
Honestly, the trend for PC building in the last few years has been not to wait. Remember how the folks who held out for the 50 series GPUs felt? Prices have gone up and might not come down anytime soon. I’d suggest keeping an eye out for Black Friday deals, but if you need a RAM kit, just grab the cheapest one and get gaming!
Totally agree! The GPU prices still haven't recovered from all the crypto hype. Manufacturers got used to the high prices and might keep them that way even if production ramps up.
Good point! Last time I checked, high-demand components like GPUs barely get discounted during Black Friday.
If it’s within your budget, I’d just buy it. You seriously never know when prices will dip again after this bubble bursts.
It sucks that prices are so high now, but I doubt they'll come down anytime soon.
Just saw a 32GB Corsair Vengeance - 6000MHz for about £88 on Amazon. Better than other places selling it for £130-£170.
Find a dive bar near you? One night behind it, and you can score a 64GB kit! Just kidding, but prices really are rough right now.
Waiting around for the AI market to deflate could backfire. Who knows! Better to buy now than risk being caught in a downturn where you have bigger issues than just RAM prices.

Do you have any specific recommendations for cheaper kits?
