I'm looking to build a PC that will last me a few years and I want to make sure it's future-proof. I'm hoping to do some gaming this summer, so I'm debating whether to buy the RTX 5070 with 12GB now or wait for the RTX 5070 Super that supposedly has 18GB. I'm considering getting a temporary GPU like the RTX 5060 and then upgrading to the 5070 Super once it's out. What do you all think?

Honestly, I'm a bit skeptical about the RTX 5070 Super even existing. If you're looking to game this summer, the RTX 5070 is a solid choice if you can snag it at retail price. If you don't mind waiting, who knows what might come out after summer?
I've seen rumors of a 15-18GB variant, so it's not out of the realm of possibility. Nvidia might be hesitant to release it if it takes sales away from their higher-end cards.
