I'm looking to build a new PC primarily for casual gaming, and I'm debating between two RAM options. I've found a kit of 2x8GB DDR5 RAM at 5600 MHz with CL36 timings for about $150. However, the cheapest 2x16GB DDR5 kit at 6000 MHz with CL32 is priced at $333. Given the crazy prices of RAM recently, should I opt for the 16GB kit or go for the 32GB kit?

Honestly, considering the current trends, I'd suggest going for 32GB. It’s becoming the standard, and 16GB might feel a bit cramped especially if you have multiple applications, like Chrome, open in the background while gaming. It's better to have more RAM and avoid performance drops due to swapping.
I get that RAM prices are rough, but 2x16GB at 6000 MTZ with CL36 or better is generally seen as the sweet spot for performance. If you can swing it, spending around $50 more for the 32GB option is worth it. I've found some decent deals if you keep an eye on sales.

So you recommend the 2x16GB kit even if it’s $150 extra?
