Should I Choose 5070 Ti or 9070 XT for Gaming?

I'm stuck deciding between the 5070 Ti and the 9070 XT as I plan to pair one of them with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. The 9070 XT costs €820 while the 5070 Ti is €890. I currently game on a 1080p 240Hz monitor but I'm looking to upgrade to a 1440p 240Hz in the future. My main games are FPS titles like The Finals, Marvel Rivals, and Deadlock. I'm also interested in older indie games for clearing out my Steam backlog. From what I've gathered, the 9070 XT might offer better raw FPS, but the 5070 Ti has superior upscaling capabilities. However, my experience with upscaling hasn't been great; I found it visually unappealing in Alan Wake 2 and noticed it affected my accuracy in Marvel Rivals. I'm curious if newer cards perform better with upscaling and whether AMD has any features like Nvidia's RTX microphone noise removal, which I rely on for stream recording. Additionally, I'm thinking about a B650 motherboard since I need several USB ports. Is it typical for mainstream boards to offer at least 7-8 USB slots, with a good number being USB 3.0? I'd like to hear your thoughts!

For the price difference, definitely go with the 5070 Ti. It offers around 5% better performance in standard gaming and excels in ray tracing. I love my 9070 XT, but if the cost gap is only €70, the 5070 Ti is the smarter choice especially if you're into ray tracing! Both cards will handle competitive gaming well, so you won't go wrong either way. As for motherboards, I recommend going for at least a B650E chipset to ensure PCI-E 5.0 support. It’ll future-proof your setup a bit more.

Honestly, if you're leaning towards 1440p in the future, the 5070 Ti is worth the extra cash. Upscaling tends to look better at higher resolutions, so you might want to stick with the Nvidia card for now. I used to have issues with upscaling on 1080p, but it was a game-changer once I upgraded my monitor.
