Should I Choose 5200MHz CL40 or 6000MHz CL30 RAM for My Ryzen 7600x Build?

I'm trying to decide between two RAM options for my AMD Ryzen 7600x build: VENGEANCE® 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 DRAM 5200MT/s CL40 versus a different set of 2x16GB 6000MHz CL30 RAM. With RAM prices skyrocketing, I'm leaning towards the 5200MHz option to stay within my budget. Could anyone explain the performance differences, especially in gaming? Also, are there ways I can cut costs elsewhere in my build? Here are the specs: My processor is an AMD Ryzen 5 7600, paired with an MSI B650M Gaming WIFI Motherboard, a Gigabyte 5070 graphics card, 750W power supply, and a 1TB NVMe SSD.

In gaming, the performance difference between 5200MHz and 6000MHz RAM isn’t huge, but you could see a slight FPS increase—typically between 2% and 10% depending on the game. Also, the CL40 timing might slow things down a bit compared to CL30, but the overall impact is minimal. If you're on a tight budget, the 5200MHz is a solid choice without sacrificing too much performance.

Would going with 5200MHz mean I’d lose around 10-15 FPS during gameplay?

Not necessarily! Most gamers report that the actual difference in performance is often negligible when it comes to RAM speed and latency.

The performance boost from 6000MHz RAM isn’t drastic—maybe a couple percent. That's a good trade-off if you're only paying a little more for better RAM. But if CL30 costs 20% more right now, it might not be worth it for such a slight gain. You're better off saving that cash for upgrades elsewhere, like your GPU or storage, which will give you a much better performance boost overall!

I need to cut costs too. Any suggestions on where else I can save in my build?
