I'm new to building PCs and working with AMD since I've mainly used Intel laptops in the past. I've decided to build a system with a 7500F processor on an Aorus Elite AX motherboard. I've heard that 6000MHz CL30 RAM is optimal for AMD setups, but finding such kits at a reasonable price has been tough. I did manage to find deals for 6000MHz RAM: one is RGB Fury Beast at CL36, and the other is non-RGB Fury Beast at CL30. Is it worth it to choose CL30 over CL36? Both kits are priced the same, but I'm also tempted by the RGB version. Additionally, I've read that it's possible to tune RAM timings from CL36 to CL30—can anyone confirm this? Thanks in advance for your help!

There's definitely a performance difference, but it’s not a huge one. The performance boost is generally subtle—probably around 1-3%. Just remember to consider options like CL32 or CL34 since they might also be available.
If you can afford it, I’d say go with CL30. Why lose even a small amount of performance over just $10 when you could be gaining a lead in performance? In the grand scheme, 1% less performance in RAM could mean a $30 to $40 difference for your GPU performance!
Good point! Have you thought about whether you can overclock the CL36 to meet CL30 specs?

Absolutely agree! And just because a kit doesn’t have an EXPO profile doesn’t mean it won’t work well—XMP kits are still solid choices.
