Should I choose a mid/high range 5070ti or a budget 5080?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to make a decision on whether it's better to invest in a mid to high range 5070ti, specifically the GB Gaming OC or ASUS TUF models, or to go for a lower-tier 5080. I've noticed the price difference isn't massive, around 250-300 euros, and I'm considering options like the INNO3D 5080 x3 OC, MSI Ventus 3x OC, Palit Gaming Pro OC, Zotac 5080 Solid Core, and GB Windforce 5080 OC SFF. My main concerns are about thermals and noise levels while still wanting good performance. Is the 5080 worth it for just a bit more in cost?

The performance difference between 5080 models is negligible. Whether you go with the budget option or the more premium ones, you’ll see similar results. Definitely don't pay more for a 5070ti if you can grab a 5080 instead!

Definitely go for the 5080! It’s a stronger card overall compared to the 5070ti. Just keep in mind how much you're willing to spend in terms of price/performance; if performance is all you care about, then the 5080 is the clear winner!

Choosing a bottom-tier card like the 5080 will generally give you better performance than a mid-range 5070ti, no question about it. Plus, the fan noise and thermal issues are manageable. Honestly, don’t waste your cash on overpriced versions of the 5070ti.

True, but isn’t the TUF version one of the lower-tier options for ASUS? Just saying... O_o

I’d recommend going for the 5080. A 5070ti priced similarly to a base 5080 is definitely overpriced. The ‘worst’ 5080 models aren’t that bad at all; they still perform well enough.

I have a base Gigabyte Windforce 5080, and I think it performs great! It handles temps and noise really well, and honestly, the premium models usually don’t offer much extra value.

I’ve got the Palit Gaming Pro 5080, and it’s a great choice! It can be quiet or loud based on your fan settings. I also flashed the BIOS for extra power, and honestly, don't pay more for higher-tier cards — the gains are minimal.
