I’d recommend getting a UPS from a reputable electronics shop that specializes in PC hardware. They usually stock models that are known to work well with computers, so you’ll have a better chance of avoiding compatibility issues.
You might find it hard to know for sure unless you test it out yourself or find someone with a similar setup. Using a 'modified sine wave' UPS can be risky since it’s technically out of spec. A pure sine wave UPS is a safer bet, but it does tend to be pricier.
If your PSU has active PFC (Power Factor Correction), it might not even turn on with a simulated sine wave. So, definitely consider that! It would be best to look up if the Corsair RM850e has this feature.
