Should I Choose a Pure Sine Wave or Simulated Wave UPS for My Corsair RM850e?

I'm trying to decide on the right UPS for my PC powered by a Corsair RM850e. There's a lot of conflicting advice online—some say pure sine wave is the way to go, while others argue it doesn't really make a difference. I've spent two weeks researching this and want to ensure I make the best choice to prevent any future issues with my PC. I really appreciate any insights you can share!

If your PSU has active PFC (Power Factor Correction), it might not even turn on with a simulated sine wave. So, definitely consider that! It would be best to look up if the Corsair RM850e has this feature.

You might find it hard to know for sure unless you test it out yourself or find someone with a similar setup. Using a 'modified sine wave' UPS can be risky since it’s technically out of spec. A pure sine wave UPS is a safer bet, but it does tend to be pricier.
