I'm trying to decide between the RTX 5070 Ti and the 9070 XT for my gaming setup. The prices in my area are 720 for the 5070 Ti and 580 for the 9070 XT. Is it worth spending the extra money on the Nvidia card? I'm mainly interested in gaming performance, and I'm curious if the 5070 Ti is more future-proof than the 9070 XT. Appreciate any insights!

If your focus is just gaming like mine, I'd say go for the 9070 XT since it's cheaper. The Nvidia card does have some advantages, but they probably won't matter much for gaming.
Check out this comparison: nanoreview.net/en/gpu-compare/radeon-rx-9070-xt-vs-geforce-rtx-5070-ti. They perform pretty similarly, so saving the $140 with the 9070 XT seems like the way to go. Neither card is significantly more future-proof than the other.
Definitely get the 9070 XT! At that price point, there's no reason to choose Nvidia unless you specifically need CUDA for certain applications.

But those advantages add up! Features like DLSS4 and better ray tracing can make a difference in some games.
