I'm planning to build my first PC by the end of this year and want some advice. English isn't my first language, so I apologize if I don't express everything perfectly. My budget is €1000, and I've been considering a setup that includes an RTX 5060 and DDR5 RAM to future-proof my build. However, I'm not a hardcore gamer; I mainly want to play heavily modded Minecraft and The Sims 4, along with some everyday tasks like using Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. I would also like to do a bit of video editing and streaming. Given my usage, do I really need the latest DDR5 and an RTX 5060, or would a DDR4 build be more sensible and help save some money? I've been following the market trends in Portugal, and I'm willing to spend a bit extra if needed. What do you think?

Honestly, you might want to double-check the prices for DDR5 components. Building a PC with DDR5 on that budget can be tricky. A solid DDR4 setup might serve you better if you're not gaming heavily. Stick to the basics and save some cash.
Yeah, if you’re clever about choices, the setup could work, especially if family can chip in to help.
If you're thinking long-term, DDR5 is great, but prices are quite high now. For your needs, a solid AM4 CPU with DDR4 would work just fine and save you some money. You could consider higher-end CPUs like the Ryzen 5700X3D, but it’s pricey. Alternatively, Intel’s i5-13400F or i5-14400F are solid options too, and they support both DDR4 and DDR5, so you can upgrade RAM later without changing the CPU.
I didn't know that! I was worried about buying DDR4 and then having to replace everything later to switch to DDR5. Thanks for the help!
Yeah, Intel might be more flexible for your situation. Check into it!

It is possible if you don’t splurge on everything! I’m managing it with a budget by cutting corners like on the case.
