I'm building my first computer after using a gaming laptop, and I'm really excited about it! Here's what I have so far:

- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT 12 GB
- Motherboard: Gigabyte A520M-K (AM4)
- RAM: 16 GB DDR4-3200 (2 x 8 GB)
- SSD: 512 GB NVMe
- PSU: Planning for a ~650 W 80+ gold
- Case: I'm flexible, as long as it fits.

Now, I'm trying to decide between the Ryzen 5 5600x and the Ryzen 7 5700x. My main use will be light gaming and I'll be playing on a 1080p 200Hz monitor. What do you think would be the better choice for my budget?

If you're looking for a bit more longevity, consider the Ryzen 7 5700x. It's an investment that ensures you won't have to upgrade later. With 8 cores, it's better suited for AAA games that might come out down the line.

Hey, I have a similar setup with the Ryzen 7 5700x and RX 9060 XT. I mostly play older games and the performance is smooth, even on max settings. So, if you're playing titles like Tarkov or Fortnite, the 5700x will handle those really well!

I'm specifically building this pc to play Tarkov on max settings. That's why I'm considering the 5700x.

Same here! I'm into competitive titles like Fortnite and PUBG, so I'm debating the same option.

I'd go with the Ryzen 5600x. If your main focus is gaming, you won't see much difference in performance between the two. The 5600x should handle everything you need without breaking the bank.
