I'm trying to decide between the Ryzen 5 9600X and the 7600X3D for my new build. I've done some research, but I'm getting mixed messages. I usually see that the 7600X3D comes out on top, but my girlfriend keeps saying it's a scam and that the 9600X is the better choice. Most benchmarks I've checked show the 9600X outperforming the 7600X3D in various applications. Can someone explain the differences in a way that's easy to understand? Also, I recently found out I bought the wrong type of SSD, so I'm making that swap at Micro Center. Any insights will help us out!

In general, the 7600X3D is known to perform better in gaming due to its 3D V-cache technology, which allows it to handle certain games much more efficiently. However, there are some games where the 9600X might surpass it, particularly if those games don’t take advantage of that large cache. So, while the X3D is designed for gaming, it’s key to consider the specific titles you plan to play.

That makes sense! Can you give examples of games where the 9600X might excel over the X3D? I'm mostly into action RPGs like Diablo 4 and Baldur's Gate!
