Should I Choose the 5070 or 5070 Ti Given Their Prices?

I'm considering upgrading my graphics card and have come across two options: the 5070 for €600 and the 5070 Ti for €900. There's quite a price difference, and I'm concerned about the amount of VRAM. What would you recommend? Thanks in advance for the insights!

If prices are similar to the UK, consider the 9070 XT. I snagged mine for £579 and the cheapest 5070 Ti was £800. Performance is pretty comparable, so don’t overpay just for the Nvidia name.

It really depends on your gaming setup. Are you leaning towards 1080p or 1440p? If you're mostly gaming at 1440p, 12 GB of VRAM should work just fine for the next few years.

I’m aiming for 1440p as well, definitely avoiding 4K.

I had to upgrade from a 3080 Ti to a 9070 XT for better performance on Linux, and it worked out perfectly.

If you're primarily playing multiplayer games without ray tracing, the performance difference won't be drastic. A card like the 9070 XT is around €700 and will give you a similar experience to the 5070 Ti.

I've always preferred Nvidia! Plus, I rely on DLSS heavily for better performance.

The 5070 seems like a great deal relative to its price. If the €300 difference matters to you, the extra VRAM and potential performance longevity of the Ti could justify it, but it really depends on how often you game and your requirements over the years.

For me, even a €300 difference is significant! I was satisfied with my 3060 Ti just switching to QHD.

At these price points, I'd lean towards either the 5070 or consider an AMD card like the 9070 XT. Currently, 12 GB of VRAM should suffice for most gaming scenarios, especially since it's mainly the 8 GB cards facing VRAM limitations these days.

I agree! It's hard to justify the extra €300 for the Ti.
