I'm looking to upgrade my processor for a workstation and gaming setup. My current CPU, the 10400F, just isn't cutting it anymore, especially when I'm trying to run multiple programs at once (like 20!). I've recently upgraded my GPU and already snagged a great deal on a TUF B760m motherboard. Now, should I go for the Intel 14600K, or is it worth spending extra on the i7 options like the 14700 or 14700K? The 14700 costs about $100 more than the 14600K, and the 14700K is about $150 more. What do you all think?

I'd recommend going with the i7 for the extra cores, but I wouldn't rush into the 14th generation. The 12th and 13th gen chips are still solid and usually cheaper. From what I've heard, the heating issues with the new 14th gen CPUs have been addressed, but to be safe, sticking with a 12th gen i7 could be a smart choice.

I considered that too! After looking around, I found that the 14600K actually outperformed the 12700K in some benchmarks. What's that about?
