Should I Choose the Overclocked 9060 XT or the Regular Version?

I found some great deals on two graphics cards at a local shop: an ASRock AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Challenger Overclocked model with dual fans and an XFX AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT SWIFT Overclocked model with triple fans. They're priced the same as a standard 9060 XT online. I'm not very familiar with overclocked (OC) models but understand they come with slightly higher performance specs from the factory. Still, I've heard they might have issues with heat and longevity due to overclocking. Has anyone experienced such problems, and will the triple fan design help with cooling?

Most of the time, OC models come with very mild overclocks—2-3% differences at most. You’re probably not going to notice the performance gap between the two. If you’re looking for something specific, check reviews for each card and choose what you like visually. The cooler design could be a factor for you too if noise is a concern.

Honestly, the whole OC label is mostly marketing hype. Both cards will perform similarly since the OC version just means it ships with a slightly faster clock speed. It's not a huge difference, so I wouldn't stress over it. And you can actually overclock any non-OC GPU yourself if you wanted to get more performance. Just keep an eye on temperatures.

Thanks for the insight! But would having the triple fan setup make a difference in performance?

I'd say go for whichever card is cheaper! They both have the same specs, so you can always tweak the settings later. The triple fan could provide better cooling, but it's really up to you if that matters for your build.

Since the prices are the same, I guess the triple fan might help with noise and cooling? That sounds appealing.

They're basically the same graphics cards, just with some minor factory tuning. I’d recommend grabbing the cheaper model and maybe tweaking it yourself if you're looking for extra performance. Longevity won’t be an issue either way.

The performance difference is minimal, usually just a couple of FPS max. Plus, the extra heat from OC models shouldn’t affect lifespan significantly unless the cooler is poorly designed. Typically, OC models are built with better cooling solutions anyway.
