I'm putting together a gaming PC and I'm stuck on whether to go with the Ryzen 5 9600X or the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. I've been looking at my current parts list and comparing it to another I found a while back, and honestly, the performance difference seems small. I'm mainly planning to play games like Battlefield 6, Borderlands 4, Helldivers 2, and some party games. Would switching to the Ryzen 5 be worth it, or should I stick with the Ryzen 7?

I think spending the extra on the 7800X3D is unnecessary if you're pairing it with a mid-range GPU like the 9060 XT. Better to invest in a stronger graphics card along with the Ryzen 5 9600X for better overall gaming performance.
Honestly, I’d choose the 7800X3D. It's better optimized for gaming performance and will give you a smoother experience with the titles you mentioned like Battlefield 6, which can be demanding.
If you're focused on games that are CPU-heavy, I'd say go for the 7800X3D. It really shines in situations where the processor makes a big difference, especially in titles like Tarkov and The Witcher 3. Just my two cents!
With your planned games, you might want to tweak your parts. If the 1TB SSD is set, consider focusing on boosting your GPU instead of just the CPU.
