I'm trying to decide whether it's worth the extra cash to buy the X870E Carbon WiFi version as a way to future-proof my PC build. I've seen great reviews about this motherboard. Does anyone have experience with it? Has it been a good investment for you?

Honestly, I don't think it's worth it. Even though you asked about whether it's 'worth' it, the Carbon won't really future-proof your setup compared to cheaper X870E boards. That said, if you find it visually appealing and have the budget, go for it!
The main reason I opted for the Carbon was for the extra USB Type-C ports and faster connections. If you don't plan on taking advantage of those features, I'm not sure why you'd be considering the Carbon in the first place.
What features do you think are necessary for future-proofing? I’d say AM5 and the extra power support are a big deal.
