I'm contemplating whether to stick with Ubuntu 24.04 LTS or try out the newer 25.04 version. I've read that LTS releases are generally more stable unless I have cutting-edge hardware. But is it really a mistake to go with 25.04? Will it lead to a buggy experience?

If you're not running mission-critical applications on your PC, I'd say give 25.04 a shot! My experience has been mostly smooth, and even older hardware works pretty well with the updates. Just be cautious with the Wayland desktop option if you’re using KDE since it's not quite ready yet.
Choosing 25.04 isn't dooming yourself to a buggy OS! Just remember, these regular releases only get 9 months of support, so you'd have to upgrade fairly often to stay updated. If you want stability with less hassle, LTS is the way to go, but you'll miss out on the latest features. It's all about what you value more: stability or cutting-edge software.
One downside of non-LTS releases like 25.04 is that you'll need to upgrade more frequently, about every 6 months. They can sometimes be buggier than LTS versions, especially right after launch. However, you’ll get access to newer features and updates sooner!

I appreciate the encouragement! It's just daunting to dive into the Linux scene with all the varying advice!
