I've been having a lot of issues with my 4-year-old PC—it's been bugging out and blackscreening. I swapped my RTX 3070 Ti with my brother's RTX 3060 Ti, and that seemed to fix the problem. However, when my brother uses my 3070 Ti in his setup, he experiences no issues at all. So now, I'm torn between two options: either I stick with my brother's 3060 Ti (which is tough since I have a 4K 240Hz OLED and still feel the pain, even with DLSS) or I go for a new build. The downside of getting a new PC is that the 50 series cards aren't great (in my opinion), GPUs are super pricey right now, and RAM prices are on the rise too. Ideally, my new build would feature a 5070 Ti and a 7800X3D. My current setup includes a Ryzen 5600X, RTX 3070 Ti, Corsair 16GB DDR4 3600MHz, and a 1st Player NGDP 850W gold PSU.

I hear you on the GPU prices and the RAM increase; it’s such a frustrating market right now! If you like the idea of a new build, the 7800X3D sounds solid, but if you don't think you'll need that power right away, you could always wait for the prices to drop. By sticking with the 3060 Ti temporarily, you can keep gaming while hopefully keeping an eye out for better deals.
It sounds like there's definitely something wonky with your current setup, especially since the 3070 Ti works perfectly in your brother's rig. Considering that you've already upgraded your PSU and still face the blackscreen issue, it might be a motherboard or compatibility problem. As for your options, if you really want to game at 4K 240Hz comfortably, sticking with the 3060 Ti could be frustrating. I’d recommend either looking into refurbishing your current system or saving up for a decent build instead of settling for the 50 series. They haven't impressed many people yet.
