I recently started using KDE Plasma on Linux and I'm planning to get an Asus TUF A15. I'm curious about gaming on Linux—should I dual boot, or can I run all AAA single-player games directly on Linux? I'm also interested in where to find game files if I'm considering pirating them, and whether they typically come out after publishers like Fitgirl. Additionally, I'd like advice on multiplayer games, Android game emulation, and if it's better to go full Linux or stick with dual booting for gaming.

For now, I’d recommend sticking to dual booting. A lot of AAA titles are becoming more compatible with Linux, which is great, but you might still experience some performance drops or need to tweak settings to get a smooth experience. Be aware that online games with anti-cheat features like COD or Valorant may not work well at all.
It really depends on the games you want to play. For compatibility, using Proton on Steam is a good choice, but if you're considering Wine, be ready for some potential issues. You can check how well games run on Linux at protondb.com. If you're thinking about pirating, just a heads-up—I can't really help you there.
Yeah, I'm definitely considering pirating since I’m currently out of work. I’ll check out protondb. By the way, what's your take on SteamOS?

Seems like dual booting is the way to go for now. I might play multiplayer games like Minecraft and Hytale, but I’ll keep that in mind for the bigger titles.
