I'm currently using a 12400F with a regular tower cooling fan, and it doesn't really get hot—maximum temperature is around 65°C. However, I'm considering switching to an AIO cooler for aesthetic reasons. I found a deal for a 240mm AIO on Taobao for just $20. Is it worth it to make the switch?

It sounds like you already know it might not be the best deal, but if looks are all that matters to you, go for it! Just keep in mind, it won't outperform your air cooler.
Just to clarify, are you asking if it's worth buying an AIO or a low-quality one? If it's the latter, I found some better AIOs for about $30-$40 on Taobao that might be worth considering.
I'd personally be a bit wary about using a $20 AIO. I mean, it has water in it! That seems risky for such a low price.
Most AIO coolers that are decent usually start around $70. A $20 one raises a red flag for quality; it may work but could be really noisy too.
Honestly, if you’re running a 65W chip, the stock cooler is good enough. If you’re just after aesthetics, that’s on you, but don't expect better cooling performance than what you already have.
