Should I Get a 9070 XT Now or Wait for the Rumored 9080 XT?

I'm currently using a GTX 1060 with an R7 7700 (overclocked) and 32GB of RAM. I'm considering upgrading to a new GPU soon but can't decide if I should go for the 9070 XT or wait to see if the rumored 9080 XT comes out. What do you all think? Is it worth the wait, or is the 9070 XT good enough for now?

If price is a concern, then the 9070 XT or even something like the 5070 TI would be great options. They're offering fantastic performance, especially if you don’t need extreme 4K capabilities.

Money isn't an issue for me, I'm just considering what would give me the best performance for gaming and streaming since I game at 3440x1440.

For your resolution, the 9070 XT would handle that well. It's worth pulling the trigger!

Honestly, there's always going to be rumors about new GPUs coming out. If a new card isn't officially announced yet, I wouldn't worry about it. The 9070 XT will perform really well for 1440p gaming and should last you for the next few years. If you're ready to upgrade, go for it!

Exactly! Plus, even if they announce a new card, it'll take months before they hit the market at a reasonable price.

For real! I've been waiting for new cards for ages, and I still stick with my 3080. Just buy what you need.

There's really no concrete info about the 9080 XT. It's probably better just to get a good card now and enjoy rather than waiting around for something that may never come.

Exactly! Even if it does get released, it will likely cost more than what you would gain in performance.

At this time in the GPU lifecycle, a 9080 XT seems unlikely to appear anytime soon. Focus on what you can get now; the 9070 XT is a solid choice!
