Should I Get an External Keyboard or Replace My Laptop’s Keyboard?

I've been dealing with some annoying issues with my laptop's built-in keyboard. The down arrow key seems to be stuck down, which causes constant scrolling on every page I visit, whether it's YouTube or Word docs. Also, keys like '5', the hyphen, and the slash are being pressed on their own. While pressing other keys can pause the madness temporarily, it just starts again. Some keys don't even work at all. I'm wondering if using an external keyboard would fix these problems, or do I need to replace the entire built-in keyboard?

While I'm not sure about your specific keyboard issue, getting an external keyboard could be a good solution while you figure it out. It’s usually less expensive than replacing the laptop keyboard, and using it could help you avoid the immediate frustrations until you decide what to do next.

But will using an external keyboard actually stop the automatic key presses you're experiencing?
