I'm looking to upgrade my PC's storage and could use some advice. I have a Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite V2 motherboard that has two M.2 slots available. I'm considering buying two Gen 4 SSDs—one 1TB for my operating system and another 2TB for games and storage. However, I noticed that my second slot only supports Gen 3, which might limit its speed. Would it be better to go with one larger SSD for everything or stick with two separate ones for different purposes? I'm hoping to find some good deals this Black Friday, so any recommendations would be appreciated!

I think the idea of separating your SSDs isn’t really necessary these days. Many people used to do that, but with the speed of modern SSDs, you can easily get away with one larger drive. For example, a 4TB Samsung 990 Pro would work great for your OS, games, and files all in one go. It simplifies things and you’ll still get amazing performance!

Yeah, that 4TB option sounds solid! You won’t have to juggle multiple drives.
