Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Right now, I have some money saved up that I could use to build a new PC. My current setup is a gaming laptop with a GTX 1650 and an R7 4800H, plus 16GB of DDR4 RAM. I wasn't originally planning on getting a new PC, but with the current market situation, I'm considering it.
I want to build a system with a 9070XT because I'm aiming to create a powerful Linux machine. I've already got sufficient storage with 2 fast NVME SSDs, a mouse, and a headset, but I'll need to buy everything else. My biggest concern is finding a GPU at a reasonable price and also getting the RAM I need.
So, I'm wondering if I should just go for it now or if I should wait. Are things really going to get worse, like the predictions about GPUs skyrocketing in price? I feel a bit lost because while a new PC isn't urgent for me, I want to build one, and I'm worried about being unable to buy one when GPU prices rise.

Check out bundle deals at places like Microcenter to save money on RAM if you can. They often have good offers!
Don't let FOMO influence your decision! Buy a PC only if you really need it because your current setup can't handle your games anymore. Prices will fluctuate, and there will always be opportunities to grab parts later.
I was in your shoes last year, hesitant to buy a new gaming PC. I waited a bit too long, thinking prices would stabilize, but they actually skyrocketed. If you feel it's the right time, I say pull the trigger!
If you can’t comfortably afford a new PC, it might be wise to hold off. You don’t want to stretch your budget too thin.
I’d recommend buying now! The situation with prices is likely to get worse, so it’s better to get ahead of the curve.
