My main concern is that if I choose the 3080, I might need to upgrade my power supply and I'm worried my current CPU, an Intel Core i5-8500, might not keep up with it. The 3080 has about 30% better performance and offers more VRAM, which could be crucial for future games. However, running it on a 500W PSU sounds risky, especially since it has a 320W TDP. If you do go for the 3080, you'll need an 850W PSU at the very least.
Honestly, your CPU might struggle with either card, so if you want a simpler option for now, I'd suggest going with the 5060. You can think about upgrading the rest later on. Also, have you considered the 9060 XT? It's usually around the same price and can deliver better performance than the 5060.
